Shinedown Birmingham parking is straightforward if you book ahead. The band play bp pulse LIVE on the NEC campus on Saturday 14 November 2026, with doors at 6pm and an 11pm curfew listed by Live Nation. The venue says pre-booking an NEC space saves up to £5, and the arena sits next to Birmingham International station.
This guide covers the times and support acts, the age and bag rules, parking, taxi and private hire drop-off, trains, and the other events on the campus that Saturday. It also explains how to plan the journey home after the curfew.
Details last checked on 3 November 2026. Start times, prices and travel notices can change, so confirm them on the venue’s event page and your ticket.

Shinedown at bp pulse LIVE: times, bands and rules
Doors, start time and curfew
Doors open at 6pm. The venue’s own pages show a 7pm start on one version and 7:30pm on another, and AXS lists both on different pages. Live Nation lists an 11pm curfew.
Nobody has published set times for the three bands. If you want to see the full bill, arrive for doors and treat any later arrival as a risk.
Who is playing
Shinedown headline on their Dance, Kid, Dance Act II tour. Coheed and Cambria and Those Damn Crows are the support acts, and the venue calls them special guests. Line-ups can change, so check the event page before you travel.
Tickets and mobile entry
The venue lists tickets from £45 to £65 plus fees, with availability shown as on sale. Buy from the official links on the venue’s event page, because resale sites can charge more than face value.
The venue asks ticket holders to download its app and register to access mobile tickets. Do that at home, before you set off, so a weak signal on the campus doesn’t hold you up at the gate.
Age rules for younger fans
AXS and Live Nation list the same rules for this show. Under-14s in seated areas need an adult aged 18 or over with a valid ticket. On a standing floor, under-14s aren’t permitted, and 14 and 15-year-olds can only enter with an adult aged 18 or over. The venue’s other event pages use the same wording. If your teenager is 14 or 15, follow the stricter rule.
Bags and security
The venue’s bag policy says all bags are checked and that it prefers you don’t bring one. If you do, it must be no bigger than A4 (21cm x 30cm x 19cm), with a maximum of two compartments, and rucksacks aren’t permitted. AXS also warns of a stricter bag policy for this show.
The venue uses Evolv Express security at the doors. Leave bulky items at home and allow time for queues.
Food, drink and merchandise
The venue doesn’t allow outside food and drink, and it sells both inside. Official merchandise is available at dedicated stores across the venue, so you don’t need to arrive early just to buy a T-shirt. Check the venue’s merchandise page for stall locations.

What the venue and the NEC say
The NEC campus has more than 16,000 parking spaces, and bp pulse LIVE says pre-booking saves up to £5 on the standard NEC rate. Options include Standard, Express, Accessible and EV Charge & Park. Entry and exit use ANPR, which reads your number plate, so there’s no ticket to lose.
You can book parking online until midnight the day before you arrive. On the night, ignore your sat nav once you’re on site and follow the digital signs to the car park allocated for the event. The NEC says pre-paid parking isn’t tied to a particular car park.
When to arrive if you’re driving
NEC car parks normally open from 8am. As a suggestion, not an official rule, aim to be on site by about 5:30pm if you want to see the first band. That leaves time to park, walk to the arena and clear security without rushing.
Leaving after the curfew
A pre-booked space doesn’t shorten the exit queue. At the curfew, thousands of people head for the same car parks at once, so allow time to leave. Waiting a little while inside before you head out may ease the queue, but that’s our suggestion, not venue advice.
Resorts World and Blue Badge parking
The NEC says visitors who park in a Resorts World Birmingham car park must pay there, so check where you’ve parked and follow the NEC’s signs. For Blue Badge parking, the NEC says accessible bays are allocated first come, first served. Check the venue’s access information before you travel.
Saturday 14 November: what else is on at the NEC
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show runs at the NEC from 13 to 15 November, and Saturday’s opening hours are 9am to 6pm. That means the show closes just as Shinedown’s doors open. Car parks and walkways may be busier around 6pm, as motor show visitors leave and concert-goers arrive.
Our guide to the NEC weekend of 13 to 15 November covers the daytime picture on the campus. If you’re attending both, plan your parking around the earlier of the two.
Hits Radio Live follows at bp pulse LIVE on Friday 20 November, and Deep Purple play on Saturday 21 November. Those nights have their own guides, listed below.
Roads and M42 closures on the night
When we checked, National Highways listed overnight closures on the M42 northbound between junctions 6 and 8 on weekdays from 9 to 28 November, running from 9pm to 6am. Saturday isn’t a weekday, so no closure was listed for Shinedown’s night. The Friday night before is a weekday, so check the position if you’re travelling then.
Closures change, and the page may have been updated since. Our Birmingham road closures guide sets out the dates we know about, and the NEC’s travel updates page carries the live notices.
Taxi, private hire and chauffeur drop-off at bp pulse LIVE
What the NEC says
The venue says to pre-book a taxi and use the designated pick-up and drop-off points. Veezu is the NEC’s official private hire partner, with signposted points near the main entrances. The NEC says other private hire providers drop off at the Piazza drop-off and pick-up area or at the Atrium entrance.
What that means for a pre-booked car
NET isn’t the NEC’s official partner, so our cars use the Piazza or the Atrium. The venue doesn’t name the set-down nearest the arena, so agree the stop with your driver before the night. Allow time for the walk to the arena, especially if you’re travelling with older relatives or teenagers.
If you’d like a driver who plans the evening around the curfew, our events chauffeur service explains how event transfers work, with the fare agreed in advance.
Agreeing your pickup
After the show, go to the private hire pick-up area you agreed at the Piazza or the Atrium. Message your driver when you leave your seat, not when you reach the exit. Agree a window instead of a single minute, because the crowd takes time to clear.
Getting to bp pulse LIVE by train, bus or air
bp pulse LIVE is directly next to Birmingham International station. From Birmingham New Street, the train takes 10 to 15 minutes. The listings we found show only a very early morning change between London and Northampton on 14 November, but check your journey on the day.
The 900 bus runs from Birmingham Coach Station every 20 minutes during the day, taking about 30 minutes. The Air-Rail Link between Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International runs from 3:30am to 12:30am, according to Avanti. That helps if you’re staying at an airport hotel.
Check your last train home before you buy tickets. A show that ends at the 11pm curfew leaves little margin. If your last service leaves soon after, a pre-booked return is the safer option.
From Coventry and further afield
London Northwestern Railway trains between London Euston and Birmingham New Street call at Coventry and Birmingham International, so Coventry fans have a direct option. Check the times for an evening return, because the frequency drops later in the day.
For general venue information, our guide to getting to Utilita Arena and bp pulse LIVE explains the transport options for both arenas.
A sample timeline for the night
The table is an illustration, not an official schedule. Adjust it once you know your own start time.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 5pm to 5:30pm | Arrive if you’re driving, our suggestion |
| 6pm | Doors open, and the Classic Motor Show closes |
| 7pm or 7:30pm | Listed start, depending on the page |
| 11pm | Curfew |
| 11:15pm to midnight | A sample pickup window |
Groups, families and corporate hosts
For a group of friends, the Mercedes V-Class takes up to seven passengers and seven bags, so one pickup covers everyone. Child seats are available on request when you book.
If a teenager will travel by taxi without an adult, speak to us first, because operators’ rules on under-18s travelling alone differ. If you’re hosting clients, a corporate account offers fixed or pre-agreed rates, multiple authorised bookers and consolidated monthly VAT invoicing with journey-level detail. Hourly hire suits an evening with dinner before the show.
