Blossoms Birmingham parking comes down to one choice: pre-book a space in the arena’s North, South or West car park, or leave the car at home. The band play Utilita Arena Birmingham in the city centre on Friday 4 December 2026, with doors at 6pm and the show starting at 7:30pm. The arena sits inside the Clean Air Zone, and a Friday evening in December adds the Christmas market crowd to the commute.
This guide covers the bill, times and ticket rules, the car parks, taxi and private hire drop-off, and trains. It also explains what else is happening in the city that night and how to plan the journey home. For the other December shows, it links to our full arena guide.
Details last checked on 3 November 2026. Times, prices and travel notices can change, so confirm them on the venue’s event page and your ticket.

Blossoms at Utilita Arena: times, bands and rules
Doors, start time and finish
Doors open at 6pm, and the venue lists the show as starting at 7:30pm. Some ticket sites show 6pm or 7pm as the event time, so check which one your listing means. We found no published curfew.
As our own planning assumption, expect the evening to finish between about 10:15pm and 11pm, and agree a flexible pickup window. Nobody has published a running order, so you can’t tell when each band walks on.
Who is playing
Blossoms are Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock. The venue calls this the biggest headline tour of their career. Their sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake, was released on 2 October 2026. The Royston Club and Arkayla join them as special guests.
Tickets and premium options
The venue lists tickets from £33.50 to £56.00, and AXS is its official ticketing partner. The venue warns that tickets from unauthorised outlets may be refused at the door, with no refund if the event is cancelled or postponed. Accessible tickets are sold online for all events, subject to availability.
Premium Lounge Access gives you a private bar and priority entry. Premium Lounge & Drink and Premium Dine & Drink both include parking, so holders should check their ticket for car park details.
Tickets on your phone
The venue publishes a Venue App Guide for digital tickets. Check how your tickets are delivered before the day, and download them at home, because mobile signal can slow down in a crowd. Charge your phone, and screenshot your tickets for everyone in your party.
Age rules for younger fans
On seated tickets, under-14s must have an adult aged 18 or over with a valid ticket. On a standing floor, under-14s aren’t permitted, and 14 and 15-year-olds can only enter with an adult aged 18 or over. If your teenager is 14 or 15, follow the stricter standing rule.
Bags, food and merchandise
The venue searches every bag and prefers that you don’t bring one. If you do, it must be no bigger than A4 (21cm x 30cm x 19cm), with a maximum of two compartments, and rucksacks aren’t permitted. The arena uses Evolv Express security, so allow time at the entrance.
Outside food and drink aren’t allowed, and the venue sells both inside, with self-serve Express Bars to skip the queues. Official merchandise is available at dedicated outlets, including two permanent stores on the main Concourse Level.
Blossoms Birmingham parking at Utilita Arena
The three car parks
The arena has North, South and West car parks, and APCOA operates them. The South car park is off Sheepcote Street and has lifts. The West car park is off St Vincent’s Street, has lifts and opens on event days only for pre-booked spaces. The North car park has no lift.
Vehicles taller than 2m should use the North car park. All parking payments are cashless, so use a card or contactless.
Pre-book before the night
The venue highly recommends pre-booking, because it guarantees a space before you leave home. The venue’s parking page links to its booking site, uabparking.co.uk. That page publishes no prices, so check the booking page for the rate on your date. For enquiries, APCOA’s customer support line is 0345 301 1151.
Choosing the right car park
The table sets out the main differences. Your pre-booked ticket may name a car park, so check it first.
| Car park | Where | Lifts | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| North | King Edwards Road side, according to Accessable’s guide | No | Best for vehicles over 2m. Blue Badge bays are on Level 9, near Entrance G |
| South | Off Sheepcote Street | Yes | Blue Badge bays are on Level 11, with direct access to Entrance D |
| West | Off St Vincent’s Street | Yes | Pre-booked and Premium customers only. Blue Badge bays are on Level 8, near Entrance C |
If anyone in your party has mobility needs, the venue says to park on any odd level, because the lifts there reach the accessible entrances.
Leaving after the show
A pre-booked space gets you in, but it doesn’t shorten the queue to get out. Thousands of cars leave the car parks at once after the finale, so allow time. If you drive, agree in advance who is driving home, and keep a little time in hand after the encore.
The Clean Air Zone
The venue confirms that the arena and its car parks are inside Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone. The zone runs 24 hours a day and covers roads inside the A4540 Middleway, though not the Middleway itself. A non-compliant car pays £8 a day. Generally, that means petrol cars older than about 2006 and diesels older than about September 2015.
Check your car before you travel. Our Birmingham Clean Air Zone guide explains the rules and how to pay.
Friday 4 December: what else is on in the city
A Friday evening in December puts several things in the same few streets. The table shows what we could confirm from listings.
| What | When | Effect on your journey |
|---|---|---|
| Frankfurt Christmas Market | Open until 9:30pm on Fridays | A busier city centre, and more people on foot |
| Big Wheel and ice rink, Centenary Square | 10am to 10pm daily | Crowds close to the arena and Symphony Hall |
| The Overtones at Town Hall | Friday 4 December, according to B:Music’s listing | Another evening audience in the city centre. We found no published start time |
| Evening commute | About 4pm to 6:30pm | Traffic peaks as doors open at 6pm |
Our Birmingham rush hour guide puts the weekday evening peak at about 4pm to 6:30pm. That overlaps with doors at 6pm, so leave earlier than you would on a weekend. The next night, UB40 play the same arena, and the published fixture list has Aston Villa at home to Crystal Palace at 3pm. Television can move that kick-off, so check the club’s website.
For the full December calendar and the car parks for every show, see our Utilita Arena parking guide for upcoming events.
Taxi, private hire and chauffeur drop-off at Utilita Arena
What the venue says
The venue advises you to pre-book a taxi and use the designated pick-up and drop-off points. It doesn’t name those points on its pages, and the car parks have no designated drop-off of their own. Ask your driver to confirm where they’ll stop before the night.
Agreeing a meeting point
The roads around the arena can be busy on a Friday, and a driver can’t wait in a live lane. Agree a spot a short walk from the arena, on a road your driver can reach, and send a map pin. A point you can both find matters more than being as close as possible, especially with the Christmas market crowds in the city.
If you’d like a driver who plans the evening around the show, our events chauffeur service explains how event transfers work, with the fare agreed in advance.
Timing your evening
The table is an illustration, not a timetable. Adjust it once you know your own plans.
| Stage | Sample time |
|---|---|
| Doors open | 6pm |
| Drop-off | 6:15pm to 7pm |
| Show starts | 7:30pm |
| Our assumed finish | About 10:15pm to 11pm |
| Pickup window | 10:30pm to 11:15pm |
Message your driver when you leave your seat, not when you reach the exit. Agree a window instead of a single minute, because a late encore moves everything.
A winter evening and the walk to your pickup
In December, the evening is dark and cold, and the walk to your pickup point can be wet. Wear a warm, waterproof coat you’re happy to carry, because the bag rules limit what you can bring in. Allow a few extra minutes for the walk, and keep your phone in an inside pocket so the battery lasts for your tickets and your driver.
Getting there and home by train, bus or coach
By train
The arena is a short walk from Birmingham New Street, Moor Street, Snow Hill and Five Ways stations, and taxis are available at each. Expect crowds after a big show. Check your last train home before you buy, because late Friday timetables can differ from the daytime service.
The engineering works we found are the Christmas closure from 24 to 28 December, not 4 December. NET’s guide to road and rail changes found no announced strike dates when we last checked it, but strike action needs notice, so confirm your journey on National Rail before you travel.
By bus and coach
The venue says buses run past the arena frequently. If you arrive by coach at Digbeth Coach Station, the arena is a 30-minute walk or a short taxi ride, and the venue recommends a taxi.
From Birmingham Airport
The venue puts Birmingham Airport 16 miles away, and taxis are available there. Birmingham International station, next to the airport, has a frequent train to New Street.
Groups, families and staying overnight
For a group of friends, the Mercedes V-Class takes up to seven passengers and seven bags, so one pickup covers everyone. Child seats are available on request when you book.
If you’re travelling from further away, the venue lists hotels on its website. Give us your hotel address and show time, and we’ll plan a short journey to the arena and back. Staying overnight also removes the late train question.
If you’re hosting clients, a corporate account offers fixed or pre-agreed rates, multiple authorised bookers and consolidated monthly VAT invoicing with journey-level detail. Hourly hire suits an evening with dinner before the show.
If the show changes
Events can be postponed or rescheduled. Check the venue’s event page and AXS in the days before the show, and keep your tickets safe until the date is confirmed. If your plans change, tell us as soon as you know, and we’ll adjust your pickup.
