Courteeners Birmingham is at Utilita Arena Birmingham on Saturday 21 November 2026, on their God Bless The Band arena tour. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7:30pm, with The Lathums as special guests. It’s also one of the busiest Saturdays of the month in the city, with Aston Villa at home at 3pm, Deep Purple at the NEC and the Christmas Market open until 9:30pm.
This guide covers the times and ticket rules, why the night needs extra planning, parking, the Clean Air Zone, taxi drop-off and how to get home. It keeps general venue detail short and links to our full arena guide.
Details last checked on 1 November 2026. Times and rules can change, so confirm them on the venue’s event page and your ticket.

Why Saturday 21 November needs extra planning
Several events overlap with Courteeners that day. None of them is at the arena itself, but together they add traffic and crowds across the city and the NEC.
| Time | What’s on | Effect on your journey |
|---|---|---|
| From 10am | Frankfurt Christmas Market, open until 9:30pm on Saturdays | A busier city centre all day |
| 3pm | Aston Villa v Sunderland at Villa Park | The traffic zone around Villa Park lifts roughly 5:20pm to 5:50pm |
| 9:30am to 5pm | Festive Gift Fair at the NEC | A busy NEC campus in the afternoon |
| 10am to 5pm | Railway Modelling festival at the NEC | More visitors on the campus |
| 6pm | Doors at Utilita Arena | First arrivals meet the evening crowd |
| 7pm | Deep Purple at bp pulse LIVE, on the NEC campus | More road and rail demand east of the city |
| 7:30pm | Courteeners start | Latecomers add to the rush |
Our Aston Villa home games planner covers the 3pm match and the traffic zone around Villa Park. Utilita Arena and bp pulse LIVE are in different parts of the region, so check the postcode on your ticket before booking a taxi.
Support acts, standing floor and finish time
Who plays and when
The Lathums are the special guests, and some listings also name The Guestlist. No running order has been published, so you can’t tell when Courteeners walk on. If you want to see the whole bill, plan to be in the arena by 7:30pm.
Standing floor or seats
Tickets are sold for both a standing floor and seated areas. On seated tickets, under-14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over with a valid ticket, and young people aged 14 and over can enter on their own. Under-14s aren’t allowed on the standing floor, and 14 and 15-year-olds can only go on it with an adult.
When will it finish?
We couldn’t find a published curfew for this show. The venue’s listing data suggests about 10:30pm, but that’s an estimate. For planning, assume a finish between 10:30pm and 11pm, and agree a flexible pickup window. Buy tickets only from official sellers, because the venue warns that unauthorised outlets risk refused entry.
Parking at Utilita Arena for Courteeners
The three car parks
The arena has North, South and West car parks. The West car park is for pre-booked and hospitality customers only. The venue says parking is limited and recommends booking in advance, and the car parks are cashless.
Vehicles over 2m in height should use the North car park. Our Utilita Arena parking guide sets out the car parks for every upcoming event.
Why leaving takes longer than arriving
Arrivals spread across the evening, but the car parks empty at once after the encore. A pre-booked space gets you in, but it doesn’t shorten the exit queue. If you drive, allow time to leave, and decide before the night who is driving home.
The Clean Air Zone
The venue says the arena and its car parks are inside Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone. The zone covers every road within the A4540 Middleway, but not the Middleway itself, and it operates 24 hours a day. Daily charges apply to vehicles that don’t meet the zone’s criteria. Check your car before you go, and read our Birmingham Clean Air Zone guide if you’re unsure.
Accessibility and Blue Badge parking
Accessible tickets are sold online for all events at the arena, subject to availability. Blue Badge parking is on Level 11 of the South car park, which gives access to Entrance D, and on Level 9 of the North car park. Blue Badge holders still pay for parking, according to Accessable’s guide.
If anyone in your party has mobility needs, tell us when you book. We can then plan the closest practical stop. The venue has no named drop-off point, so agreeing the spot in advance matters even more.
Taxi drop-off and pick-up at Utilita Arena
What the venue says
The venue advises booking a return taxi in advance and using its taxi pick-up and drop-off points. It doesn’t name those points on its own pages, and Accessable’s guide says the car parks have no designated drop-off point. Ask your driver to confirm where they’ll stop before the night.
Agreeing your meeting point
Saturday night traffic around Brindleyplace and Broad Street is busy, so a driver can’t wait in a live lane. Agree a spot a short walk from the arena, on a road your driver can reach, and send a map pin. A point you can both find matters more than being as close as possible.
Timing your evening
The table gives a sample plan for a pre-booked journey. It’s an illustration, not a timetable.
| Stage | Sample time |
|---|---|
| Doors open | 6pm |
| Drop-off | 6:15pm to 7pm |
| Show starts | 7:30pm |
| Estimated finish | About 10:30pm to 11pm |
| Pickup window | 10:45pm to 11:30pm |
Message your driver as you leave your seat, not when you reach the exit. A window works better than a single minute, because a late encore moves everything.
If a chauffeur looks like the better fit, our events chauffeur service explains how event transfers work, with the fare agreed in advance.
Groups
For a group, the Mercedes V-Class takes up to seven passengers with seven bags, so everyone travels together and shares one fare. Tell us the numbers when you book. Child seats are available on request at no extra charge, provided we have each child’s age and weight.
A sample Saturday evening
This timeline is an illustration for two friends travelling to the show. Adjust the pickup time for your own journey.
- Late afternoon: Pickup from home, with a time that suits your journey and the Saturday traffic.
- 6:15pm: Drop-off near the arena, with time to walk the last stretch and join the security queue.
- 7:30pm: The show starts, with the special guests first.
- 10:30pm to 11pm: The estimated finish. Walk to your agreed pickup point.
- 10:45pm to 11:30pm: Your driver collects you inside your pickup window.
If a friend is driving instead, ask them to read the parking section first, because the exit queue is the longest part of a driven evening.
Staying overnight in the city
Travelling from further away? The venue lists hotels on its website, and Saturday nights in November fill up quickly, so book early. Give us the hotel address and your show time when you book, and we’ll plan a short journey to the arena and back. Staying in the city also removes the late-night train question.
Getting there and home by train, bus or coach
By train
The venue says Birmingham New Street, Moor Street, Snow Hill and Five Ways stations are all a short walk from the arena, with taxis available at each. Expect crowds after a big show. Check National Rail for the last train home before you go, because late Saturday timetables can differ from weekdays.
By bus and coach
The venue says buses run past the arena frequently. Coach passengers at Digbeth Coach Station face a walk of about 30 minutes, and the venue recommends a taxi.
Bags, food and security
All bags are searched, and the venue prefers that you don’t bring one. If you do, it must be no bigger than A4 (21cm x 30cm x 19cm), with a maximum of two compartments, and rucksacks aren’t permitted. Outside food and drink aren’t allowed. Allow time at the entrance, because the venue uses Evolv Express security screening.
In November the evening is dark and cold, and the walk from your pickup point can be wet. Wear a warm, waterproof coat you’re happy to carry, and keep your phone in an inside pocket so the battery lasts for your tickets and your driver.
If the show changes
Events can be postponed or rescheduled. Check the venue’s event page and your ticket seller in the days before the show. If your plans change, tell us as soon as you know, and we’ll adjust your pickup.
