Aston Villa have nine home Premier League and Champions League games between 21 November and 30 January that need planning: seven in the Premier League and two Champions League nights. Each type of game needs a different chauffeur plan, because a Saturday 3pm kick-off, a midweek 8pm game, a Boxing Day fixture with no trains through New Street and three home games in seven days don’t behave the same way on the road.
This planner sets out every home game with its kick-off time, then explains how to book around each type. It’s written for supporters, families and corporate guests who want a pickup agreed before the match, not a guess on the day.
Details last checked on 29 October 2026. Premier League kick-off times can move for TV, so confirm your game on the club’s website before you travel.
Aston Villa home games from 21 November to 30 January
| Date | Opponent | Competition | Kick-off (UK) | Type of day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saturday 21 November | Sunderland | Premier League | 3pm | Saturday afternoon |
| Wednesday 2 December | Everton | Premier League | 8pm | Midweek evening |
| Saturday 5 December | Crystal Palace | Premier League | 3pm | Saturday afternoon |
| Tuesday 8 December | Paris Saint-Germain | Champions League | 8pm | Champions League night |
| Saturday 26 December | Leeds United | Premier League | 3pm | Boxing Day |
| Wednesday 30 December | Liverpool | Premier League | 8pm | Midweek evening |
| Saturday 16 January | Manchester United | Premier League | 3pm | Saturday afternoon |
| Tuesday 19 January | Borussia Dortmund | Champions League | 8pm | Champions League night |
| Saturday 30 January | Ipswich Town | Premier League | 3pm | Saturday afternoon |
The club confirms the Champions League home dates and 8pm kick-offs. The Premier League times come from published fixture lists, and the league says fixtures can change for TV. Games further ahead are the most likely to move. Domestic cup ties, if Villa draw home games, are announced separately and aren’t in this table.
The traffic zone shapes every Villa Park pickup
The club runs a traffic exclusion zone on Witton Lane, from the Aston Hall Road junction to Witton Road, and on Trinity Road, between Nelson Road and Witton Lane. Its match-day guide says the zone starts up to two hours before kick-off. Its accessibility page says 90 minutes, so plan for two hours to be safe.
The zone lifts about 30 to 60 minutes after the final whistle. A chauffeur can’t take you through it while it’s active. For every game below, the plan is the same: be set down outside the zone, walk the last stretch, and agree a pickup point outside it for the return.
The club says drop-offs can be arranged for supporters with access needs, to the North Stand or Holte End car parks. If that applies to you, contact the club’s accessibility team as well as telling us when you book.
Building work around the ground this season
The North Stand is closed for the whole of the 2026/27 season while the club rebuilds it. Visiting clubs’ match-day guides also note major construction around the North Stand, the club shop and the Fan Zone area. The routes near that corner of the ground can therefore differ from what you remember.
Turnstiles typically open about 90 minutes before kick-off, and visiting supporters are advised to travel light. Read the club’s guide for your game, and ask us to confirm your drop-off point against it.
Saturday 3pm games: Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Ipswich
How a 3pm day runs
A 3pm kick-off puts the zone start at about 1pm. Full time usually arrives about one hour 50 minutes after kick-off, so around 4:50pm, and the zone then lifts between roughly 5:20pm and 5:50pm. These are estimates, not club timings.
| Stage | Approximate time |
|---|---|
| Zone starts | Up to 1pm |
| Aim to be set down | 12:45pm to 1:15pm |
| Kick-off | 3pm |
| Full time | About 4:50pm |
| Suggested pickup window | From about 5:15pm |
Why a pickup window beats a fixed time
Crowds, stoppage time and a late equaliser all move your finish. A window from the final whistle lets your driver adjust. Message them as you leave your seat, and they’ll move to the agreed point.
Midweek 8pm games: Everton and Liverpool
The rush hour overlap
Evening games start at 8pm, but the zone begins at about 6pm. Our Birmingham rush hour guide puts the weekday evening peak at about 4pm to 6:30pm. That means the approach roads are at their busiest as the zone starts, so journeys take longer than the same trip on a Saturday.
A late finish
Full time arrives at roughly 9:50pm, and the zone lifts between about 10:20pm and 10:50pm. The club says shuttle buses run back to Birmingham New Street for up to 90 minutes after the final whistle, which helps public transport users. A pre-booked car avoids the wait and the queue.
Champions League nights: PSG and Dortmund
What changes on a European night
For the Fenerbahçe game, the club advised supporters to arrive a little earlier than normal. The Marquee on the Trinity Forecourt was closed because UEFA designates it for Champions League matches. West Midlands Roads also warned of heavier traffic around M6 junction 6, and of closures on Witton Lane and Trinity Road.
Similar measures may apply for Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday 8 December and Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday 19 January, so check the club’s guide for each game. Both kick off at 8pm. Allow extra time on the way in, and don’t assume the usual drop-off point is available.
Guests and travelling fans
European nights bring visitors who don’t know the city. If a guest is flying in, our airport transfers include flight monitoring and meet-and-greet, so the pickup follows the real landing time. We can then take them from the airport to a drop-off point outside the zone.
Boxing Day: Leeds at 3pm and the New Street closure
Villa host Leeds United on Saturday 26 December at 3pm, which falls inside the Christmas rail shutdown. National Rail says no trains run to, from or through Birmingham New Street from Thursday 24 to Monday 28 December, and services resume on Tuesday 29 December.
Many supporters reach Villa Park through New Street, so check National Rail for what runs to Witton and Aston before you plan to go by train. Our New Street Christmas closure guide explains the closure, the replacement buses and the alternatives. For a family, a group or anyone travelling from outside the city, a pre-booked chauffeur is the simplest way to reach a 3pm game that day.
The Liverpool game on Wednesday 30 December follows after services resume, but it’s an 8pm kick-off in a holiday week, so allow extra time.
Three home games in seven days: 2, 5 and 8 December
Villa play Everton on Wednesday 2 December, Crystal Palace on Saturday 5 December and Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday 8 December. That’s an 8pm, a 3pm and another 8pm kick-off within a week.
| Date | Kick-off | Planning point |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday 2 December | 8pm | Evening rush hour overlap |
| Saturday 5 December | 3pm | Christmas Market season in the city centre |
| Tuesday 8 December | 8pm | Champions League restrictions |
Tell us all three dates when you book, so each pickup is agreed against its own kick-off. Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market runs until 24 December, so the city centre can be busier on the Saturday.
How to book a chauffeur for a Villa Park game
If you want to see the vehicles and book a Villa Park transfer directly, our Villa Park chauffeur service page sets out the service. Book as soon as your ticket and kick-off time are confirmed, and tell us again if the time moves.
When you book, tell us:
- Your kick-off time and the competition.
- Your stand or entrance, if you know it.
- The number of passengers and bags.
- Whether you need a child seat or have mobility needs.
- Your preferred pickup window after the game.
Our Mercedes E-Class carries up to three passengers and three bags, and the V-Class takes up to seven passengers with seven bags. For a family or a group of friends, one vehicle keeps everyone together.
Corporate guests and hospitality across several games
Companies entertaining clients over several fixtures can use a corporate account. It offers fixed rates, multiple authorised bookers and consolidated monthly VAT invoicing with journey-level detail. A dedicated account manager handles the arrangements. Hourly and full-day hire also suits a hospitality day that includes a lunch before the match.
Families and fans travelling with children
Child seats and booster seats are available on request at no extra charge, provided we have each child’s age and weight when you book. A pushchair affects the vehicle we recommend, so mention it too. After a late kick-off, a settled child in a proper seat makes the journey home calmer.
When kick-off times change
Broadcasters can move Premier League games, sometimes at short notice. The club announces changes on its website. Check your game’s time a few days before you travel, and tell us if it changes. We then adjust the drop-off and the return together.
Roads in the run-up to Christmas
Dated roadworks and closures change from week to week. Our Birmingham road closures guide lists the confirmed dates for November and December, including the M42 overnight closures and the Christmas rail changes. Check it alongside the club’s match-day guidance before each home game.
Your checklist for each home game
- Confirm your kick-off time on the club’s website.
- Decide whether it’s a Saturday, a midweek evening, a European night or a holiday game.
- Agree a drop-off point outside the traffic zone.
- Agree a pickup window after the final whistle.
- Tell us your party size, bags, child seats and mobility needs.
- Allow extra time on Champions League nights and in holiday weeks.
- Keep your phone charged, so you can message your driver.
